Walnut Fig Loaf

Yield 3 loaves

Ingredients

  • 18 oz. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 lbs. All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 oz. Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz. Unsalted butter, soft
  • 1 1/2 cups Blue Ribbon Fig Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 6 large eggs
  • 12 oz. Diamond Walnuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Butter and flour 3 loaf pans. Blend together the ingredients until a smooth dough forms. Spoon into prepared pans. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven for about 1 hour or until center is set.
