WALNUT FIG LOAF

Yield 3 loaves

18 oz. Sugar
1 1/2 lbs. All-purpose flour
3/4 oz. Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 oz. Unsalted butter, soft
1 1/2 cups Blue Ribbon Fig Paste
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
6 large eggs
12 oz. Diamond Walnuts, chopped

Butter and flour 3 loaf pans. Blend together the ingredients until a smooth dough forms. Spoon into prepared pans. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven for about 1 hour or until center is set.
