Blue Ribbon Orchard Choice Organic Figs
Valley Fig Growers’ cooperative members are dedicated
to bringing the best possible California Figs from their orchards
to consumer’s tables. Our product line includes organic
California figs and organic California fig products such as
paste, concentrate, and diced figs.
 Our
processing plant in Fresno, California and our California
figs have been certified by the California Certified Organic
Farmers (CCOF) organization. CCOF helped plant the seeds that
grew the organic movement into an industry. Funded in 1973,
CCOF was the first organization to certify organic farms in
North America. CCOF set uniform guidelines and worked to legally
define organic.
 CCOF
only certifies farmers, processors, retailers and wholesalers
who comply with their industry-setting standards and those
required by state and national law. Their inspectors examine
the crops, the land, the facilities, the process and the paperwork
of applicants and members. CCOF’s inspection reports
are then reviewed by two different groups of experts.
Our California figs and fig products adhere to the stringent
requirements of the CCOF and are labeled accordingly: “Organically
grown and processed in accordance with the California Organic
Foods Act of 1990. Certified by the California Certified Organic
Farmers (CCOF).”
